It all started over 40 years ago with our South Florida founder, Larry Courtney. Drawing on his years of experience in auto dealerships, Larry recognized a gap in the market — people with subprime credit who needed a vehicle but kept hitting dead ends. Instead of running his own lot, Larry had a bigger vision: partner with dealerships across Florida and give them the tools to say "yes" to more customers. So he sold his lot and got to work.

More than 40 years later, Equity Auto Finance is still doing exactly what Larry set out to do — helping dealers find creative, flexible financing solutions for the customers who need it most. The community has grown, and so have we, but our commitment to our dealers and their customers has never wavered.
